ADOPT MILA  – 10 month Calico kitty

Hi there. My name is Mila, and I have a secret: I am a very brave girl.

For a long time—maybe two whole months—I lived in a place called an airport hangar. It was a scary world of giant, metal birds that roared so loud they made my whiskers vibrate. It was so hot in there I could hardly breathe, and my tummy felt like it was shrinking because I couldn’t find any food or water. I spent a long time just trying to survive, but I never let it make my heart cold.

Why I’m Your Perfect Match: Now that I’ve been rescued, I’ve decided I’m done with the “scary” part of life. I’m ready for the “snuggle” part! Here is what you should know about me:

  • I’m Not a Hider: Some kitties who have a hard time get shy, but not me! I’m confident and friendly. I want to be right where you are.
  • The “Only Child” Life: Because I had to fight so hard for myself at the airport, I’d really love to be your one and only kitty. I have so much love to give that I don’t want to share it with other cats!
  • A Professional Nuzzler: I am very gregarious (that’s a fancy word for “I love people!”). I will nuzzle up against you and turn on my purr-motor so you know exactly how happy I am.
  • Playtime is the Best Time: I’m still young and full of life! I go crazy for my rainbow catnip toy, and if you have a ribbon on a stick, we will be best friends forever.

My Simple Dream

Most of all, I just want to feel safe. I want to forget the sound of those loud engines and replace them with the sound of a quiet home. My biggest dream is to cozy up with you on the couch or curl up at the foot of your bed. I’ve spent a long time being lost, and I’m so incredibly appreciative to be found. I promise to fill your days with joy and your heart with purrs for the rest of my life. Will you be my person?

Love and Whiskers,

Mila

Mila was sighted over a month ago by a United employee peeking out of a dumpster. She was seen by another employee crying for help in their parking lot late at night. They both reached out to me thinking she was Lost cat Marshmallow (who, sadly is STILL LOST at SFO).

We were able to trap Mila inside a United airplane hangar at SFO with the help of a kind employee.

Mila is now fixed, vaccinated and tested, and microchipped. She’s absolutely perfect!
